Journal Article 2023 06 13 Given the significance of the Arbaeen event as one of the most important religious tourism events for Shiites, the present study aims to explore the contexts and reasons for the enthusiastic participation of Iranian Shiites, as well as their experiences and perceptions of this activity, using a social interpretive approach. The research methodology is qualitative. Data was collected using conventional methods in ethnography and analyzed through grounded theory. The research results indicate that factors such as the inefficiency of the internal decision-making system, due to the government’s and administrative system’s encounters with various crises in political, economic, social, and cultural domains, and social inequality, play roles in the participation in this event. This inequality is interpreted by participants as a sense of religious discrimination and a lack of rights. The semantic reconstruction of the pilgrims’ experience and understanding of participating in this event serves as a channel for social participation and solidarity, cultural change, and a communication bridge between stakeholders and executive officials. The core category suggests that the Arbaeen pilgrimage event acts as an alternative to existing constraints. با توجه به اهمیت رویداد اربعین به‌عنوان یکی از مهم‌ترین رویدادهای گردشگری مذهبی برای شیعیان، این پژوهش درصدد است با استفاده از رویکرد تفسیرگرایی اجتماعی به مطالعۀ زمینه‌ها و دلایل استقبال شیعیان ایرانی و تجربه و درک فعالیت در آن بپردازد. روش‌شناسی این پژوهش، کیفی است. داده‌ها با استفاده روش‌های مرسوم در روش اتنوگرافی جمع‌آوری شده و به وسیلۀ روش گراند تئوری تحلیل شده است. نتایج پژوهش بیانگر آن است که زمینه‌هایی چون ناکارآمدی نظام تصمیم‌گیری داخلی، به‌دلیل مواجهۀ دولت و نظام اداری برآمده از آن با انواع بحران‌ها در عرصه‌های مختلف سیاسی، اقتصادی، اجتماعی، فرهنگی و نابرابری اجتماعی در حضور در این رویداد نقش دارند. این نابرابری ناشی از احساس تبعیض مذهبی و برخوردارنبودن از حقوق توسط شرکت‌کنندگان معنا می‌شود. بازسازی معنایی تجربه و درک زائران از حضور در این رویداد به مثابۀ مجرایی برای مشارکت و همبستگی اجتماعی، تغییر فرهنگی و پل ارتباطی ذی‌نفعان و مسئولان اجرایی است. مقولۀ هسته نیر بر رویداد پیاده‌روی اربعین به مثابۀ جایگزینی برای تنگناهای موجود دلالت می‌کند. https://www.toc-sj.com/article_200389_9b6d422375da98f666ef42aa76441027.pdf
